Food Truck Village
From "Community Investment Fund 2030"
Go to the project

This space could be considered Food Truck Village because it would allow small Mobile Food Businesses a place to find local customers from the surrounding neighborhoods which are a walking distance. There are already a couple mobile businesses as is in Norwich. There could be a potential growth in the community business wise and home buyers could potentially move this way too. Possibly more business owners buy homes near by to settle their new or moving business into the area. They have this types of Villages all over Florida and that’s where I got my idea from.

I've spoken with several food truck venders (while purchasing in New London, Groton, Colchester, at other events) about coming to Norwich, and they all say the same thing. The fee(s) for Norwich is too high compared to surrounding areas

Why not set up a village of food trucks in the empty parking lots on the East Side on the way to Foxwoods . Route 2 Make it a destination for casino patrons.
Many cars driving to the Casino use the road to get to the Casino .
It's also on the city bus line.I think. Plus there is plenty of free parking .
