Marina Towers Mall

Marina Towers Mall

Three floors of comfort starting with coffee & market on the first floor, more open food court & play area on the second, ending in a phone & library space at the top, all with beautiful water front views through out, connected to tons of parking to handle a central commuter route, while also encouring park and local foot traffic.

Architecturally we want to keep the beautiful views, enable easy parking and entry, while giving a clear visual impression of offerings, and allowing space for service, preparation and cargo facilities.

One clean approach is a glass enclosed public space on the south west, with brick/concrete enclosed service space on the north east, connected to cargo delivery and service elevators in the east corner.

Somewhere many of us can and would like to go… often.

A new location for farmers markets would be nice. Since going to the marina people walking, and people with boats complicatics things.

With the space created by the demolition of the Marina Eyesore Towers, perhaps explore a project similar to the Old Mystic Village retail and artisan space. There's parking across the street at the Regional-albeit-Notional Transportation Center. And the shops could serve as a bridge to Chelsea and the merchants already there.

Malls seem to be a thing of the past. But an entertainment complex with art and culture could be what the town needs. Beer , burgers and pizza are nice but lifting the population to another level of source of community engagement young and old raises us all

With the closing of crystal mall and box stores there may not be a maket for a mall there. But perhaps a nice community center with pool and some areas for socializing, dining artistic exhibitions
