Youth programs

I remember when I was growing up there were youth programs in place where you could do community service, meet with motivational speakers, meet with others in the community, etc. Hell! Even the local police and firefighters would have cookouts during the warmer months so they could meet and greet with the communities they serve. I think bringing something like this to norwich would be great. As a parent I've seen a huge decline in the quality of individuals among today's youth. A lot of them have no goals, no dreams or aspirations, no plan for the future. I believe putting these children in an environment where they can network with their communities and meet with speakers who can talk to them about goals, business, how money works, etc. A lot of today's youth goes out into the world extremely unprepared.
