Small outdoor stage

Nicole Haggerty •3 years ago A small outdoor stage would be a great amenity in the proposed park. Norwich has such a great arts community and it would be a good location for another venue.

Washington Street Park - Potential Skate Park

Nicole Haggerty •4 years ago Where? Washington Street Park What? Skate Park/Recreation Facilities When? 3-5 yearsWho? How?Why? There are always a lot of kids and teens playing basketball at the Washington Street Park. It would be great to add additional facilities such as a skate park, especially since it's within walking distance to Downtown, NFA, and Sachem Street School.

Placemaking

Norwich has so many villages with their own unique sense of place. It would be great to have murals or signs or gateway features leading into each of the different parts of town to create a sense of place. For example, the concrete wall/stairs at the bottom of Laurel Hill would be a great place to have a large mural to let people know they're entering Laurel Hill.

Food Truck

Nicole Haggerty •4 years ago Depending on the dimensions of the lot, this could be a great spot for a semi-permanent/rotating food truck or food vendor. The description mentions the potential for multiple levels - there could be raised seating or a small outdoor stage that could be used for First Fridays and other events.

Family-friendly amenities at Howard Brown Park

Nicole Haggerty •3 years ago Having a park downtown on the waterfront is such a great amenity. It would be great to have some sort of playground or family-friendly amenities to attract more families to the park. This could go somewhere near where the old mini-golf course was.
